The paths we walk

Because every individual’s journey is unique, I use a tailored approach to honour that individuality. I use well-researched therapies to help calm your nervous system, make sense of your story, process your experiences, and move toward the life you want.

**For New Clients, our work together begins with “The Trailhead - Initial Clinical Intake and Assessment” (In-Person or Virtual) where we will discuss your specific needs and goals for therapy**

The Trailhead

Initial Clinical Intake & Assessment

Before we walk into the woods, we must first meet at the trailhead. This comprehensive initial intake and assessment is the foundational starting point for all paths at The Birches Collective Wellness. During this session, we take the time to map the current landscape of your life, discuss your goals, and complete targeted assessments, ensuring we are the right clinical fit for your journey.

Whether your path will lead to the calming integration of The Clearing, the neurodivergent routine-building of The Wayfinder Approach, or our structured Trauma Groundwork sessions, every journey begins right here.

New clients can book this intake or a free 15-minute Discovery Call online. Once your intake is done, we’ll choose your next steps together.

The Clearing

Integration & Person-Centered Therapy

At the foundation of our work is a deeply calming, empathy-driven approach rooted in person-centered therapy. These sessions focus on building practical nervous system regulation skills and providing a safe, grounded space to process your daily life. Using an eclectic, collaborative blend of therapeutic tools, we meet you exactly where you are in the woods to help you find stability and peace.

The Wayfinder

Solution-Focused, Strengths-based ADHD & 2e Navigation

Our Wayfinder Protocol provides neurodiversity-affirming therapy for adults. We will gently assess daily bottlenecks and learn your brain’s unique “operating system” as we go beyond just coping skills to address executive functioning challenges, time blindness, and co-occurring conditions like anxiety and burnout. Our goal is to build practical routines that set you up for momentum and ease, fully honouring your natural wiring rather than fighting against it.

Our Strengths-Based ADHD/2e Approach Includes:

  • Routine Architecture: Building sustainable daily rhythms.

  • Strengths Assessment: Identifying your unique strengths and how to use them to your advantage.

  • Interest-Based Nervous System Education: Shifting away from neurotypical priority models.

  • I’m an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) through Evergreen Certifications. I provide ADHD-informed counselling and support rather than formal diagnosis.

The Deep Woods

Trauma Assessment, Stabilization, & Reprocessing

Navigating the deep woods of past trauma can feel profoundly unsafe and isolating. You do not have to carry that heavy weight alone. My foundational approach to trauma care is anchored in deep empathy, holding a safe, steady space where you are seen and supported. We walk this trail entirely at your pace, never rushing.

Trauma takes many shapes. A single terrifying event. A childhood that never felt safe. An assault. An accident. A birth that didn’t go as planned. A diagnosis you are still absorbing. Years of one hard thing after another, with not enough time to recover in between. Whatever brought you here, we start the same way: slowly, and on your terms.

Trauma care here is provided by a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II), through Evergreen Certifications.

Trauma Groundwork & Stabilization

Your safety comes first, so we never rush toward the past. Your journey begins with foundational groundwork sessions. During these sessions, we focus on a targeted clinical assessment, building a trusting therapeutic rapport, and practicing robust nervous system stabilization skills. We lay the essential groundwork so you feel steadier and better equipped before we ever address the past.

When your nervous system feels secure and ready, we transition to one of two therapies to help process the past

Narrative Exposure Therapy

Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) is a distinct, evidence-based clinical protocol that requires specific advanced training. It is important to note that NET is different from general 'narrative therapy' or standard 'exposure therapy.' While those approaches are valuable for many concerns, NET uniquely combines them into a highly structured, finite 12-to-15 session framework designed specifically to map and process a chronological lifetime of complex trauma. I have completed the dedicated clinical training required to offer this specific modality in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Together, we safely map the timeline of your life, acknowledging the storms you have weathered, the joys you have experienced, and the profound resilience that carried you through.

We build a chronological narrative that honours your story, allowing you to leave this process with a written “Testimony.”

The Timeline for NET

NET is a highly structured, finite protocol, that maps an individual’s life from pre-birth to present. Mapping a complete life narrative typically requires a dedicated commitment of 12 to 15 sessions, providing a clear beginning, middle, and end to this deep work.

90-Minute Session | $260

Each session includes extensive clinical narrative writing and formatting post session.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Trauma can leave physical and emotional shadows that interrupt your present life. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an advanced, structured therapy that uses gentle, guided eye movements to help your brain process painful memories so they feel less intense, with the goal of reducing their impact on your present. We focus on processing the emotional and physical charge of the memory so your nervous system has a chance to regulate.

The Timeline for ART

The timeline for ART is highly flexible. Because it targets specific, individual memories, the total number of sessions is based entirely on the specific events you choose to process. A single targeted memory can often be processed in just 1 to 3 sessions.

90-Minute Session | $230
